About Us                         Consortium at Woodhorn.jpg

What does the Consortium do?

It makes sure that the views of Northumberland's voluntary and community sector are heard wherever public policy impacts on the sector.  So that could be decision makers in the County Council, Northumberland Strategic Partnership (NSP), the Local Area Agreement or One NorthEast or the host of different partnerships on which the sector sits -  wherever public policy affects the sector.

If you would like to see more details of what the Consortium thinks is important, have a look at our draft business case

This sets out most things you might want to know about the Consortium -  our vision and objectives; our principles and priorities; lists the current member organisations and explains where we wish to go. Like all good plans it has been designed to evolve with changing circumstances.  If you would like to see the current make-up of the Consortium click here.

The Consortium is invited to supply a sector perspective on a number of outside bodies. Click here for the current list.
