November 6 2007 Longhirst Hall
November's conference was at Longhirst Hall on the dual themes of the Compact and Local Government Reform. A community theatre group, Raised Eyebrow, also placed its own spin of the subjects. For the full conference report see:

May 17 2007 Stannington Village Hall
This was the first standing conference held by the VCS Consortium. It was described as "standing" to indicate that it would be a regular feature in the voluntary and community sector's calendar. Speakers included George Hepburn of the Communitry Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland and Ben Kernighan of the NCVO.
