The keynote speaker was Jill Dixon, Deputy Chief Executive of Northumberland County Council and officer leading the transition to single unitary status of local government. November 6 2007 Longhirst Hall

This was the first standing conference held by the VCS Consortium. It was described as "standing" to indicate that it would be a regular feature in the voluntary and community sector's calendar.
