Disability & Deaf Network

Northumberland's Disability & Deaf Network is in the process of being established. Adapt, in partnership with Northumberland LINk, and with the encouragement of the VCS Consortium, is hosting the network. The aim is for it to be an independent network run and controlled by disabled and deaf people.

It plans to:

  • bring together disabled and deaf people living in Northumberland
  • provide advice and information on disability issues
  • signpost people to other organisations which can support them
  • advocate for better services
  • make sure that policy makers listen to, and act on, the views of disabled and deaf people when planning and delivering services
  • provide peer supprt - members will be able to share information and experience from each other.

Membership of the network is free. If you would like to join, or would like more information, please contact:
